Having come from a family owned photofinishing business, The Huntington Photo Lab, I have been in photography most of my life. Since 1983 I was employed as the photography manager for the WV Department of Commerce / Tourism Division. For over 26 years I have had the opportunity to expand my talents photographing the people, historical, recreational, and natural wonders of the State of West Virginia. Also, I was the photo editor for HQ Publications, which publishes the Huntington Quarterly Magazine and the Marshall Magazine. I also taught several photography workshops throughout West Virginia.
My work has appeared in numerous publications such as; Louisville Magazine, The Washington Post, Charlotte Observer, Time-Life Books, Blue Ridge Country Magazine, Ohio Magazine, Newsweek, National Geographic Adventure, Wonderful West Virginia Magazine and other newspapers and magazines throughout the US and abroad.
I am now retired and live in Pawleys Island, SC. I have had many spended years photographing Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, and I look forward to my new opportunities in South Carolina.
